The Great Katiomay

You stand before a door as black as night itself. There is no handle, no knocker, nothing. Beside you on the door is only a plaque that reads "Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter Here." You swallow hard, but there is no turning back. As you step forward the door swing open to greet you, and ahead lies only an inky blackness where anything could wait in store.

How It All Began

I've been reading my whole life and in middle school I really sat down and started writing. I filled out whole notebooks of stories. The first book I ever wrote was Lady of the Woods, it was about a lost princess with the power over earth. The sequel was Daughter of the Dragons with a girl who was the younger sister of the main villain. She ran away from her wicked brother and found friends among a group of dragons. Then came Forsaken Wind, where a thief named Tiger and a merchant boy named Nevon tried to stop the villain from using a magical weapon to take over the world. Each of the girls had magical powers over certain elements that the evil prince Ravus was desperate to steal. Obviously they were earth, fire, wind and then came water. The problem occurred with the girl from the water book. I hated her. She was weak, a real crybaby and a pushover. No matter how I tried to fix what I thought was an aggravating character to write, I couldn't seem to make it work. And with that the series ended. I completely lost the series and the planned fifth book Child of Magic. In high school I started to write again but this time it was a scifi book instead of my normal fantasy genre. I started writing about a group of children in an apocalyptic world ruled by aliens. When the rest of mankind is enslaved these young boys are the only hope left. This trilogy became The Rebirth Series and the first books I've had published. The Nix was published as my graduation gift from my parents. It can be found on Amazon.com for $19.95. The description reads; "Malone and a group of abandoned kids begin to fight off an alien race that live in dome cities and have enslaved the human race. With the help of an ambassador of the Coralian race, and the technology she supplies, the kids just might have a chance. That is, if the Nix ruler, Janiera Beckii, doesn't turn them all into mutated monsters or continues killing them. And if Malone can learn to trust his own people." A New Fight (Sequel to The Nix) was also self published through a company called Publish America. It's also priced at $19.95 on Amazon.com and the description reads as follows. "Four years after they took down the first dome city, Malone and his crew still struggle to fight the Nix and save their people. With a new crew full of aliens and a Coralian threatening to take Arissa away from him, Malone's hands are full. The news of a Nix weapon that destroys planets brings the group closer as they try to find a way to save Earth. But with Janiera pushed to the edge and willing to do whatever it takes to kill Malone and his crew, with a stronger fleet, and a stronger weapon how will the boys manage to survive? What will happen with his new crew and, more importantly, what will happen between Malone and Arissa?" The last book of the series is The Edison's New Crew. The final book is also on Amazon.com for $19.95 and was published by Publish America. The description reads; "When the crew of The Edison stumbles upon an empty Nix ship, they find the last thing they expected. One bad thing leads to another now that they have a Nix girl aboard. Why would Malone allow one his enemies to stay with them? What will happen now that the crew is threatening to leave, when Arissa's life is coming to an end, and a crew member has fallen in love with the last person they should have? Malone is driven to the brink trying to deal with his crew and save Earth in this final chapter of The Rebirth Series."
